Parking lot Expectations

We have seen an increase in parking lot misuse, so I want to send a few reminders.  Please plan for extra time - we know drop off / pick up can be inconvenient, but we ask for your partnership in prioritizing student and community safety. Please be especially mindful of these things, especially in the front parking lot:

• There is only one entrance and one exit. Please be sure to use the proper driveway for entering and exiting the parking lot.
• Students should never cross the parking lot alone. Please be sure that there is an adult with them as they cross, as kids are often too short for cars to see.
• Please be sure to cross the lot only using designated, marked crosswalks. (Never walk /through between cars in drop off line)
• Please only drop students off in the yellow car line - never double parking /stopping to let them out in the through traffic lane.
• Please do not park at the curb. 
  • Red is for emergency vehicles only
  • Yellow is for drop off/pick up while the driver remains in the vehicle - students should already have sweaters on and backpacks/instruments ready for them to get out of the car. quickly to keep traffic flowing
• Please only park in handicap spaces if your vehicle has proper signage to allow use of these spaces.
• Please drive very slowly and watch carefully all around you.
